This aircraft was delivered to the U.S. Navy at Pensacola Naval Air Station In August, 1942. It was used as an advanced trainer to prepare pilots for fighter aircraft in WWII. The U.S. Navy trained pilots in this particular aircraft for nearly twenty years before it was sold as surplus for civilian use. Over 15,000 of these and other variants (U.S. Army Air Force T-6, Canadian Harvard, Australian Wirraway) were built. Only 500 are still in flying condition today. This is your chance to see what it is like to fly in a World War II aircraft!!
